Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for optimizing the use of Tractor Supply Company's (TSC) Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and computer software tools for effective and accurate administration of company group benefit plans and programs, and compliance. This position is also responsible for applying intermediate level knowledge of employee group benefits to accomplish project work and company objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Maintain current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, Section 125, and other applicable laws and regulations. Oversee compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for plan administration. Work effectively to make sure plans run smoothly. Evaluate internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Prepare Benefits reports, extracting data from the benefits or payroll database.
  • Provide technical support, test system functionality, and work with end users to provide system support and troubleshoot system problems.
  • Coordinate, maintain and update all ACA (Affordable Care Act) data in collaboration with vendor partners and Benefits Manager.
  • Record and deliver benefit/payroll data to comply with all state and federal reporting mandates including all IRS survey information that may be required of the company pertaining to benefit enrollment.
  • Organize the administrative processes of the Flexible Spending Accounts to include eligibility, enrollment, non-discrimination testing and completion of the annual Form 5500 for the health and welfare plans.
  • Gather employee data and conduct the processing of monthly invoicing and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
  • Oversee experience reports for the health and welfare plans; assist with analysis of the effectiveness of each plan.
  • Provide customer support to internal and external customers pertaining to general Human Resources (HR) and Benefits information.
  • Train and/or support Benefits team members as needed.
  • Participate as project leader for various Benefit team projects including coordination of materials or vendors, communications, resolution of problems, etc.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2-4 years of related experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Knowledge of benefit plan regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Benefit Administration platforms, specifically Benefitfocus
  • Knowledge of HRIS databases and reporting; specifically, SAP/SuccessFactors
  • Knowledge of ADP Enterprise and ADP reporting
  • Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and complete
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
