Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Three years of experience analyzing data, preferably in a nonprofit or higher education environment or related field. Demonstrates proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience with Raiser's Edge and Salesforce is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that produces the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Provides professional skills in analyzing donor and constituent data and conducting research to support fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. Aids department administrators in the decision-making process. Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and maintaining data integrity, optimizing CRM and database usage, and disseminating information through reporting to support development, stewardship, and engagement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyzes donor and alumni data to support fundraising strategies and campaign planning. Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders. Ensures data integrity through regular audits, data hygiene, and quality control processes.
Collaborates with gift processing, prospect research, and development teams to streamline data processes and workflows. Supports the administration of Raiser's Edge and the implementation and administration of Salesforce Advancement. Assists in the segmentation of donor lists for appeals, stewardship, and events. Provides training and documentation for staff on data tools and best practices. Stays current with trends in data analytics, fundraising technology, and nonprofit CRM systems. Monitors data quality and identifies issues related to accuracy, integrity, and compliance that require follow-up. Uses analytical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and recommend process enhancements. Provides customer service to internal stakeholders, including staff and administrators. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications
Requires a general knowledge of computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Ability to organize work effectively, prioritize objectives, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision while exercising independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. Ability to collaborate effectively, work as part of a team, and contribute to a cooperative work environment. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and the ethical use of data in fundraising is preferred.
