Job Description: 
 
Our client is currently seeking a Sales and Delivery Manager who can sell and manage all aspects of applications support and ADM utilizing enterprise software (preferably SAP) for clients within the Consumer and Industrial Products industry sectors. As an AMS Manager, the candidate will have day-to-day project management responsibility for the AMS sales process, transition activities and all ongoing AMS initiatives at a client or multiple clients. 
 
The candidate will be measured on relationship building and sales, as well as client satisfaction, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon service levels and creating business value.  The candidate is also expected to have deep industry knowledge in one of the following sectors:  Retail and Distribution, Consumer Products Manufacturing, Auto and/or Process and Industrial Products.

The AMS Manager will be responsible for ongoing client interaction and reporting, and managing a global team that will be providing application maintenance, including Help Desk, break/fix, enhancements, upgrades and proactive value creation activities.  Additionally, the candidate may be a technical resource for the team.  This role will also include pre-sales activities around solution design and technical project planning.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand client support requirements and assist with the creation of application management proposals, including responding to RFPs.
  • Assist with architecting the technical solution and work with the pursuit team to support the sales process.
  • Drive the estimation and development of the delivery approach
  • Organize and lead kick-off meetings with clients and internal leadership.
  • Lead the identification and deployment of the necessary staffing across channels

  • Manage the transition to AMS
  • Establish the project plan including scope of work, detailed work plan, responsibility matrix, communication plan, issue tracking, service level reporting and risk escalation process.
  • Secure client approval and signoff on deliverables.
  • Report status and service level compliance; Identify and analyze ticket and workload trends and make recommendations on staffing and go-forward delivery model changes.
  • Make recommendations for process and technology enhancements to more efficiently meet the needs of the business.
  • Work with client, AMS team, operations, and product vendor to optimize customer solutions.
  • Work with external vendors on support issues
  • Identify follow-on engagements


Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years delivering ERP package support as a project manager.
  • 5+ years’ experience in one of the Consumer and Industrial products sectors listed above.
  • Deep hands-on experience with SAP support in a production environment, providing Help Desk, break/fix, enhancement, upgrade and business value creation services
  • Experience with requirements gathering, technical specification development, solution design and architecting, cost estimating, and developing technical project plans and staffing assignments.
  • Experience with managing and mentoring onshore and offshore technical staff in order to drive optimal performance and quality deliverables.
  • Experience with managing project risk related to the delivery of support work, and managing project budgets related to that delivery.
  • Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships.
  • Articulate, good presentation and communication skills as well as strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive results.
  • Must be willing to travel.
 
Education: A bachelor's degree is required for this position.
