Position Overview- Location: Mount Pleasant, SC – schools in the area
- Dates: August 2026 – June 2027
- Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person | Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
- Caseload: K-12, multiple school sites
- Required: EIPA 3.5+ and RID (SC LLR or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and school settings
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers to support full access to instruction and activities
- Interpret a variety of content including academic instruction, discussions, and school events
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and student success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards while documenting services as required
