We are seeking an experienced full-time ASC Director to manage the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of our new orthopedic ASC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual operating budgets; manage labor, supply, and overhead costs to achieve financial targets.
  • Oversee scheduling of surgical cases, staff, and OR block time to maximize throughput and surgeon satisfaction.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion a culture of patient safety, quality, and service excellence throughout the center.
  • Oversee perioperative nursing, surgical technician, PACU, and sterile processing functions.
  • Ensure proper credentialing and privileging of medical staff in collaboration with the medical executive committee.
  • Oversee the facility’s infection prevention and control program in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain facility licenses, Medicare/Medicaid certification, and DEA registration in good standing.
  • Oversee complete and accurate medical record management and health information practices.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

Experience

  • 5+ years of ASC leadership experience, with at least 2 years as an ASC Administrator or Director.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASC regulatory requirements, including CMS Conditions for Coverage, TJC standards, and state licensure rules.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practice and orthopedic surgical services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and physician relations skills.
  • Proficiency with ASC practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related clinical or administrative field.
  • Experience managing a physician-owned or joint-venture ASC.
  • Experience in an orthopedic-only or musculoskeletal-focused ASC.
