As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks supporting our manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites, and mission operations centers worldwide. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure across multiple global locations. Key job responsibilities - Deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments - Ensure robust network operations supporting launch and mission activities - Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues - Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation - Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives - Enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection - Mentor junior engineers on operational best practices and troubleshooting techniques - Drive automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency - Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability for mission-critical operations Basic Qualifications - 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience - 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience - 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS technologies Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
