Position Overview
 


Aiona is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented AM Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role supports the chefs and kitchen leadership through consistent, high-quality preparation of ingredients and components essential to daily service. This should be a highly skilled prep production cook.
 
 
Prep Cooks play a critical role in building a strong foundation for service by ensuring organization, efficiency, and adherence to Aiona’s culinary standards.
 
Compensation- $22-$23 hourly D.O.E.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients and components according to recipes and chef specifications
  • Perform knife work including chopping, slicing, portioning, and trimming
  • Assist with preparation for live-fire cooking, sauces, marinades, and garnishes
  • Measure, weigh, and portion ingredients accurately
  • Maintain clean, organized prep stations and storage areas
  • Properly label, date, and store products following FIFO standards
  • Assist with receiving and storing food products and supplies
  • Support service and production needs as directed by kitchen leadership
  • Complete opening, prep, and side work duties efficiently
Culinary Standards & Teamwork
  • Uphold Aiona’s culinary quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with chefs and kitchen teammates
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Qualifications
  • Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen fundamentals
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability for early morning, daytime, weekend, and holiday shifts
