Alarm System Estimator

Loyal Source is looking for an Alarm System Estimator for an employment opportunity in Miramar, Florida.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimator with a strong background in projects including fire protection systems, security infrastructure, and general construction. Based in Miramar, Florida, this role covers projects ranging from Deerfield Beach to the Florida Keys, requiring a sharp analytical mind and a deep understanding of labor, materials, and equipment forecasting. You’ll play a critical role in our pre-construction and bidding process, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate, competitive, and well-documented estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scopes to determine labor hours, equipment needs, and material costs
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire, security, and construction projects across South Florida
• Use Bluebeam to review drawings, markups, and perform quantity takeoffs
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and availability
• Maintain organized documentation for all estimates and revisions
• Support project managers with budgeting and scheduling insights
• Adjust estimates based on site visits, client feedback, and evolving project requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in cost estimating for fire protection, security systems, and construction projects
• Proficiency in Bluebeam for takeoffs and document review
• Strong understanding of South Florida construction practices and permitting
• Ability to travel to job sites from Deerfield Beach to the Keys
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with estimating software and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with electrical and low-voltage systems
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and local building regulations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Schedule: M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM
