MUST HAVE CT CERTIFICATIONFlu vaccine requiredStart date will be no less than 6 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received at SEARHC in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back.The Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge andskills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients service on his or her assigned unit. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.Perform diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within department and other areas.Maintain patient records and files.Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.Pursue continuing education.Transfer patient to and from radiology.In absence of supervisor, assume responsibility of department.Rotate shifts as required.Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.Follow policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.Assist in general hygiene of department and self.Should be able to work well in situations of stress.Must be willing to able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as Manager sees fit.Must be able to perform duties in two fields of imaging and willing to work outside of modality, i.e., Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography.Must maintain competency in ancillary modality.Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.CT/ INTERVENTIONALResponsible for care of equipment in this area.Responsible for record maintenance.Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.Active part in the preparation of procedure in this area.Consult with referring physicians.Strive towards the goal of venipuncture.Follow standard precautions procedure.Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.Change contrast levels per age group.Set up and run automatic injector.Familiar with contraindications of contract.Competent in tele-radiology transmission.Competent in sterile technique.Actively assist in supply inventory and ordering.Daily/Weekly QCLEAD TECHNOLOGISTWork in conjunction with Imaging Manager and Director; support development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.Review, edit, correct, and validate PACS to ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling.Ensure flow of work is organized and efficient.Assign daily staffing schedule.Respond to staff concerns promptly.Works to identify and solve operational problems.Assist in hiring staff.Coordinate new staff orientation.Serve as an expert resource for staff. ***Pertains to Travel OB RN's:The nurse is on-call for 7 days in a row, 12 hours each day. The RN will receive a guaranteed 40 hours for the week. The nurse will not receive on-call or call back pay since they are already "on-call". The on-call nurse will have 30 minutes to respond to any page and cannot leave the island. On-call will rotate through staff every week, so each nurse will be on-call every 3 weeks.***
