Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical content manager for assigned F‑16 structural systems and technical orders.

  • Support the establishment of requirements and preparation of TCTOs and TOs for field and depot maintenance, repair inspections, and testing of the complete weapon system.

  • Assist in developing, updating, and validating structural technical data, ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and USAF standards.

  • Participate as a member of technical verification teams and pre‑/post‑publication review groups to confirm technical accuracy and proper sequencing of procedures.

  • Apply extensive knowledge of F‑16 structural systems, airframe integrity, fatigue life, and sustainment practices.

  • Support structural sustainment planning, structural integrity program requirements, and coordination with engineering and logistics teams.

  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on USAF and FMS F‑16 structural configurations, modifications, and sustainment challenges.

  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, program management, and depot organizations to ensure technical documentation and TCTO requirements align with program objectives.

  • Assist with issue resolution related to structural discrepancies, repair procedures, and maintenance impacts.

  • Ensure technical content meets USAF program requirements and supports both operational and depot‑level sustainment activities.

  • Validate technical data through verification events, ensuring accuracy, clarity, safety, and compliance with USAF standards.

  • Support investigations into data deficiencies, contributing to corrective actions and updates in future revisions.

  • Provide expert recommendations to government and contractor leadership on structural data issues, discrepancies, and necessary improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • MS/PhD in a Related Discipline (IRD) + 10 years relevant experience (5 years DoD); OR

  • BA/BS in a Related Discipline (IRD) + 12 years relevant experience (5 years DoD); OR

  • 15 years relevant experience + applicable Certifications (including 8 years DoD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years fighter/bomber aircraft experience, with at least 5 years direct F‑16 OFP‑related experience.

  • Experience in F‑16 structural systems, sustainment engineering, depot processes, and technical order development.

  • Familiarity with USAF and FMS F‑16 configurations and structural modification programs.

  • Demonstrated experience with verification, validation, and publication processes for TOs and TCTOs.

  • Ability to independently perform assigned duties with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced acquisition environment.
