Our client in the Los Angeles area is a division of a leading design and manufacturer of aerospace products is looking for an Aircraft Structural Design Engineer responsible for providing support for their Company. The position is remote.
Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.
Position purpose/core responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Experience with aircraft primary structures design such as fuselage, cargo door, wing etc.
- Basic design knowledge and understanding of commonly used design guideline and concepts.
- Creativity to provide conceptual ideas and design solutions to address structural problems.
- Ability to identify structural requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Advanced analytical skills and the capacity to use experience and knowledge to make sound judgments.
Experience:
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 required.
- Previous aircraft freighter conversion design or similar work preferred.
Education:
- Bachelors or Maters degree in Aerospace or Engineering.
