Summary
Inspects, repairs, maintains and services Flight School aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
Essential Functions
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft systems and equipment, airframes and power plants in accordance with Specifications set forth by the manufacturer and the Service Manuals, Service Bulletins, FAA Regulations.
Perform scheduled inspections including 100 hour and annual inspections (if authorized)
Perform maintenance and repair associated with inspections
Perform major and minor repairs and alterations as part of line maintenance, heavy maintenance and structural repair
Maintain and repair equipment used in the department
Perform other incidental duties as may be assigned
Knowledge / Skills
Verifiable, hands-on experience of the actual time spent in the repair, maintenance, overhaul or manufacture of aircraft required
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days-off
Demonstrates good judgment and confidentiality
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service
Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of management and pilots
Strategic and forward-thinker
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong knowledge of flight software (Talon)
Education and Work Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred
3 years of experience working with general aviation aircraft or similar (Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 208, Piper Seminole, and Piper Arrow)
Certificates, License, Registrations
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
