Primary FunctionThe Aircraft Mechanic III will inspect and maintain airframes, powerplants, prop rotors, ECS, fuels, and associated components.Essential DutiesPerform preflight, post-flight, and phase inspections, inspecting and maintaining various systems, fuel, flight controls, prop rotor (to include weight and balance), utility, and power plants.Perform Hub, blade fold rigs, etc.Perform heavy maintenance to include engine, PRGB, Hub removal and replacement.Perform acceptance inspections of critical flight control components after return from rework or upon receipt from the manufacturer as well as aircraft acceptance and transfer inspections.Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance of CV-22 aircraft.Perform complex system/sub-system troubleshooting.Perform completion of O&I-level aircraft modifications/time compliance technical orders and one-time inspections.On the job training and documentation of training of active‑duty maintenance technicians.Perform flight line driving/towing of aircraft/equipment.Additional duties as required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have direct reports.Desired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSeven years of continuous aircraft maintenance background/experience in an Aircraft Mechanical specialty on any fixed-wing or rotary aircraftThree years of CV-22 experiencePrior APU and Blade Fold Wing Stow qualificationAircraft Tow qualifiedRefuel/Defuel qualified.Experience with tugs, forklifts, and cranesRequired QualificationsMinimum of five years continuous aircraft maintenance in an aircraft mechanical specialty on any fixed-wing or rotary aircraftPrior CV-22 Air Force 7 level or Red X qualified, or prior USMC CDI qualification.Three years of CV or V-22 experience or one year of documented recent (within the past three years) experience on the CV or V-22Extensive working knowledge using technical publications, bulletins, diagrams, ground support equipment, and precision tools in accordance with the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)Ability to pass a drug and background screeningThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Preference StatementPreference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).EEO StatementAdditionally, it is our policy to select, place, train and promote the most qualified individuals based upon relevant factors such as work quality, attitude and experience, so as to provide equal employment opportunity for all employees in compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and without regard to non‑work related factors such as race, color, religion/creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship, genetic information, or other protected status.
