Location: Vandalia, OH
Duration: Contract
Pay Rate: $48.00 per hour
Schedule: M-F 6am-4pm - 50 hours per week

Position Overview
Are you an experienced aviation professional with a passion for safety, compliance, and quality? Our Aerospace and Defense client is seeking skilled Aircraft Inspector IV professionals to join their growing team. In this role, you will lead complex aircraft inspections, mentor junior inspectors, and help ensure the highest standards of airworthiness and regulatory compliance across operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned inspector looking to take on a leadership role while working on advanced aircraft systems and maintenance programs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections and airworthiness evaluations.
  • Perform detailed on-aircraft inspections, including avionics and structural systems.
  • Develop, implement, and improve inspection protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Document inspection findings accurately and maintain detailed records.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve significant compliance and quality issues.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior inspectors and maintenance personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Active and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aircraft inspection, maintenance, or related aviation experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems, equipment, components, and structures.
  • Strong understanding of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Experience applying inspection methods, techniques, practices, tools, and equipment to determine airworthiness following maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading inspection teams or quality assurance initiatives.
  • Experience conducting FAA compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Military aviation or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related field.
