As a AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC (TITLE 32), WG-8602-5/8/10, you will certify acceptable performance, test, repair, trouble-shoot, operationally check and modify aircraft turbine and auxiliary power units, and associated propulsion system components.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code \u00a7 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
Military Grades: Minimum Rank E1 - Maximum Rank E5
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience or training that has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories in accordance with technical specifications, procedures, and requirements; experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-10 Level MUST possess experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories; experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft engines, engine components, and powertrains for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft; experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical records, and diagnosis. WG-08 Level MUST possess the experience in removing and installing components and accessories with detailed guidance; and experience in following detailed instructions in making minor repairs and modifications to aircraft engines, subassemblies and components. WG-05 Level MUST possess experience using common hand tools in making repetitive mechanical repairs under close supervision; and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the simpler and routine duties of the trade?
