Compensation Details
- The starting hourly rate for this position is between $26.00 and $36.00 based on your prior work experience.

Summary of Essential Duties
The Aircraft APU Technician is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and functional testing of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) installed on Contour's fleet (ERJ 135/140/145 and CRJ 200). This role supports component-level repair activities in a Part 145 repair station environment and ensures all work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform APU inspection, disassembly, repair, assembly, and functional testing on ERJ and CRJ APUs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel system discrepancies
- Interpret and apply CMMs, AMMs, IPCs, SBs, ADs, and engineering data
- Perform component-level repairs including starters, generators, fuel controls, gearboxes, and accessories
- Conduct borescope inspections and dimensional checks
- Complete detailed maintenance records and work orders in compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements
- Support APU test cell operations, including pre-test setup, monitoring, and post-test evaluation
- Identify unserviceable components and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties has assigned by leadership.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent stooping, bending, and kneeling.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods.
- Lift and carry objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally (with assistance).
- Ability to climb stairs, scaffolding, and/or ladders of varying heights without assistance.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces and awkward positions as required.
- Tolerance to noise, vibration, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to wear protective gear such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Work Environment
- Airport ramp/warehouse environment subject to varying weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to aircraft noise and vibrations when testing engines.
- Fast-paced operational setting requires attention to safety, accuracy, and timeliness.
