Aircraft A&P Mechanic - Helicopter Experience - CA - MAR 2025 - 1106
Our client is seeking an experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic with background in helicopter maintenance in CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, servicing, and maintaining helicopters to ensure their airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on helicopter airframes, powerplants, and associated systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and conduct necessary troubleshooting.
- Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, rotor systems, and other critical components.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance following FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs using logbooks and computerized systems.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with structural repairs, composite work, and corrosion prevention.
- Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to ensure optimal aircraft performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, FAA regulations, and manufacturer service bulletins.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on helicopters (civilian or military).
- Knowledge of helicopter airframes, rotor systems, powerplants, and avionics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.
