Air Compressor Service Technician
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on compressors and related equipment while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining safety and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform airend rebuilds, equipment overhauls, and mechanical repairs on compressors, blowers, and vacuum pumps
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair industrial equipment
- Balance rotor assemblies to specifications
- Provide technical support in person and over the phone
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality control, and proper use of PPE
- Ensure tools and equipment are clean, calibrated, and in good working order
- Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time
- Maintain shop cleanliness and assist in training other technicians
- Support customer satisfaction and identify sales opportunities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment
- Knowledge of compressors or pneumatic systems preferred; basic electrical knowledge a plus
- Ability to follow procedures with a safety-first mindset
- Good analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office 365)
- Valid TWIC required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed
