About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented AI & Digital Safety, Regulatory & Compliance Analyst to join a Safety, Regulatory, and Compliance team within a Quality organization. This role sits at the intersection of children’s safety, artificial intelligence, and digital product innovation, offering a unique opportunity to influence how AI-enabled and connected products are designed, evaluated, and launched responsibly.

In this position, you will support efforts to navigate an evolving global AI regulatory landscape, help safeguard children in digital play experiences, and contribute to ensuring AI-powered products meet applicable legal, safety, privacy, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities AI & Digital Regulatory Research
  • Research, monitor, and summarize emerging global, federal, and state regulations related to AI and digital features in children’s products
  • Track developments in areas such as COPPA, children’s privacy laws, and emerging AI governance frameworks
  • Translate regulatory trends into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
Child Safety & Digital Trust
  • Collaborate with Quality Trust & Impact and Legal teams to evaluate AI-enabled and digital product features
  • Assist in identifying and documenting potential child safety risks, including:
    • Inappropriate or harmful content
    • Emotional manipulation
    • Unsafe or misleading behavior generation by AI systems
Privacy & Data Protection
  • Support reviews of data collection and data use practices for connected children’s products
  • Assist with compliance efforts related to COPPA and applicable global privacy requirements
  • Help assess privacy risks associated with AI-driven and digital product features
Legal, Policy & Compliance Documentation
  • Develop and support internal:
    • Policies and guiding principles
    • Compliance checklists
    • Risk assessments
    • Guidance documents related to AI and digital technologies
  • Assist with documenting regulatory and safety considerations across the product lifecycle
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Legal, Quality, Product Development, and Innovation teams
  • Help integrate AI safety, digital trust, and regulatory considerations into product design, development, and launch processes
  • Support consistent application of safety and compliance principles across teams
Qualifications & Experience Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Graduate degree in Law, Public Policy, Technology Policy, Data Privacy, or a related discipline, with a focus on:
    • Artificial intelligence
    • Digital safety
    • Regulatory or compliance frameworks
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong experience or demonstrated interest in:
    • Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
    • Digital ethics and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with:
    • Children’s data privacy regulations (e.g., COPPA, GDPR)
    • Product safety regulations (e.g., CPSC) is a strong plus
  • Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly explain complex legal or regulatory concepts to non-legal, technical, and product-focused audiences
