Full Time Inpatient Opportunity at AdventHealth Riverview
General Summary:
The PA or APRN, under the supervision of the Physician(s who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s, is responsible for:
- Performing physical examinations of patient's evaluation and treatment of radiology patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings
- Orders appropriate diagnostic tests
- Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public
- PA will see a mixture of pediatric and adult patients
- The PA would spend one week in LP Clinic and one week in IR Clinic
- LP clinic (lumbar puncture: inpatient at Orlando
- IR Clinic pre and post op care, possible rounding but no procedures in IR clinic
Schedule Details:
- Schedule is Monday - Friday
- Campus: AH Riverview
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong medical decision-making skills
Required Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nursing
- Interventional radiology background preferred
Preferred Education/Experience
- LP's and spine procedures
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license
- Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization
- BLS and ACLS required
