Agricultural Irrigation Electro-Mechanical Technician

Role overview

Provide field service for center pivot irrigation systems—preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations—while supporting customers and learning new technology as it emerges.

Core responsibilities

• Wire and test new and used irrigation equipment.
• Build and repair center pivot irrigation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; resolve efficiently.
• Repair standard and variable frequency drive (VFD) pump panels.
• Engage customers with a positive, partnership-first mindset.
• Perform tasks requiring physical agility: climbing, tool carrying, mini excavator operation.
• Apply knowledge of pivot control panels and system telemetry.
• Work independently on assigned projects.
• Attend meetings, sales events, and training to stay current on new tech and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; trade certificate programs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (to drive company vehicles).
• Knowledge of agriculture and irrigation systems preferred.
• Several years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Proficient with 480V 3-phase power, multimeters, and basic hand tools.
• Computer-literate; able to operate a laptop and Microsoft Office.

Location, schedule, and pay

• Base: Beloit (work out of the company's Beloit location)
• Schedule: Full-time day shift, generally 7am – 5pm, Mon–Fri, depending on job sites
• Compensation: $25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience
