Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000–$60,000/year estimated total compensation
- $19–$21/hour base pay + overtime during peak season
- 15–17% profit sharing paid in December and August (historically adds about $3–$4/hour)

The Opportunity
Lead the Bloomington warehouse and own inventory accuracy for seed, packaging, and related materials. This is hands-on leadership: plan work, coordinate shipments, and spend roughly 75% of your time operating a forklift alongside the crew to meet deadlines and quality standards.
How You’ll Contribute
Lead People
- Assign work and priorities to keep the operation flowing.
- Train new forklift operators through our certification program.
- Champion safety, quality, and high standards.
Move Product
- Create the daily loading schedule to hit customer due times.
- Count and verify every inbound and outbound load.
- Notify customers when their seed ships.
- Apply and remove "Hold, Do Not Ship" status with QA support.
Control Inventory
- Keep row locations precise in the warehouse management system.
- Track materials and supplies to prevent loss, miscounts, or wrong shipments.
Elevate Safety & Quality
- Enforce company safety programs and proactively identify risks.
- Execute the Quality Management System within your area.
- Suggest improvements to layout, process, and safety performance.
Protect Assets
- Own forklift preventive maintenance for reliable uptime.
- Handle facility basics: weatherproofing, climate control and fire suppression monitoring, and vendor coordination for specialized work.
- Run a proactive pest control program in the warehouse.
Keep It Audit-Ready
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace—every shift.
What You Bring
- Daily forklift operation and comfort getting on/off equipment frequently.
- Ability to lift 30–70 lb bags many times per day.
- Leadership instincts and the ability to direct a team.
- Sharp eye for inventory details and accurate paperwork.
- Dependable attendance and a stable, long-tenured work history.
- Basic computer skills for everyday use of our inventory system.
- Capability with routine facility upkeep and judgment on when to call specialists.
Seasonal Rhythm
September–March: conditioning and shipping take center stage—high volume, high urgency, overtime available. March–September: a reset focused on organization, maintenance, and preparation for the next surge.
Work Conditions
This is an active, on-your-feet role in a dusty environment with seed and pollen exposure. PPE is provided, but strong dust or pollen sensitivities are not a fit.
