Seeking an Agricultural/Food Scientist II with a doctoral or relevant master’s/ bachelor’s degree and experience in plant pathology or related fields.
Responsibilities include designing and executing laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments focused on disease management and crop productivity, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring safety compliance.
Operates and maintains research equipment, coordinates multisite trials, and interprets results to support research objectives.
Collaborates with faculty, students, and external partners, communicates findings, and trains staff and students.
Manages procurement, administrative tasks, and implements experiments on farmer sites, including off-campus locations.
Preferred skills include proficiency with GIS, UAV operation, environmental sensors, and experience supervising staff. Salary is commensurate with experience, around $55,000.
