Assistant General Manager – Restaurant Operations

Are you a hospitality leader ready to take ownership of a thriving restaurant? We’re seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager in Quakertown, PA to run day-to-day restaurant and bar operations while driving revenue growth, cost control, and an exceptional guest experience.


What You’ll Own as Assistant General Manager:

  • Lead daily operations during peak service times, including nights, weekends, and off-premise events
  • Partner with GM, Executive Chef, and Bar Manager on menu development for food, beer, wine, and cocktails
  • Build catering programs for private parties, corporate events, and community functions – from menu design to BEO execution
  • Manage FOH recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling for hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, and runners
  • Oversee P&L performance, payroll input, purchasing, vendor negotiations, and budget planning
  • Maintain operational excellence through policies, cleaning schedules, POS updates, and Board of Health standards
  • Support marketing initiatives with specials, events, and new offerings across web and social media

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years management/supervisory experience in restaurant or F&B environment
  • Strong financial analysis skills – P&L experience and Microsoft Excel proficiency required
  • Payroll experience for FOH teams
  • Proven ability to create upscale casual/fine dining concepts and adapt to new F&B trends
  • RAMP and ServSafe certification required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and team training skills
  • Track record of meeting timelines, budgets, and quality objectives
