THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee protective service functions and guide staff in delivering important support to older adults. As an Aging Care Management Supervisor 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Protective Oversight: Ensure that protective service cases are reviewed, assigned, and evaluated for accuracy and compliance
  • Staff Guidance: Train and supervise staff on rules, procedures, and expectations related to protective services
  • Case Management: Monitor ongoing cases, review reports, and support staff with guardianship and care planning tasks
  • Agency Coordination: Work with hospitals, law enforcement, and community organizations to promote awareness and collaboration
  • Program Monitoring: Review reports, update annual service plans, and support agency compliance with state requirements
  • Administrative Support: Assist with on-call scheduling, review closed cases, and provide supervisory coverage as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in public or private social work; and a Bachelors Degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
