Description

The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is seeking an Agile Coach with strong systems engineering, software engineering, and Agile experience to support a complex program that provides modernization, enhancements, and and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States. The Leidos team will be part of an exciting ecosystem, participating with federal employees, and other contractors, in a team-based DevOps approach to deliver mission value frequently, cost-effectively, responsively, and with high quality.

This position interacts with business, management, end users and agile delivery teams across the program to enhance agile and DevOps practices while coordinating with technical experts to implement technology solutions that enhance the customer's DevOps solution. This position works with multiple agile delivery team taking the lead to capture requirements and ensure a coordinated solution is developed in response to government engineering change requests.

This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, 2 twice a week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, and development teams on the requirement elicitation and ensuring requirements are accurately reflected in Jira features/epics/stories. Coordinate with architects and technical leads to develop integrated solutions that leverage available cloud and AI solutions.

  • Work with across product teams within a portfolio to refine, groom and prioritize issue backlog

  • Continuously monitor, identify risks and risk mitigations and capture team performance reports

  • Collaborates with team on understanding the requirements to ensure testability. Work with product teams and test automation team to begin transitioning to BDD to facilitate test coverage.

  • Quickly adapt to customer dynamic environment and adopt their processes and foster innovative ideas

  • Adopt to new ways of working, socializing and collaborating with stakeholders and understanding their business goals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BS degree and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban, supporting Agile efforts

  • At least five (5) years of experience working with agile teams to improve agile processes that speed up delivery of capabilities

  • At least three (3) years of experience working with technical experts to enhance and implement DevOps processes that speed up delivery of capabilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse agile teams, product owners, and subject matter experts to explain changes being proposed and benefits to be delivered.

  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops to elicit clear requirements and ensuring development teams effectively capture the requirements in features, epics, and user stories.

  • Ensure compliance with software standards

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence required

  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices with proven track record of working with technical teams to implement these processes

  • Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start

  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years' of experience applying AI to improve project management as well as agile artifacts and processes

  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe certification

  • Active CBP BI

  • Experience with CBP

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
