GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Are you interested in supporting Wyoming's economy while safely connecting communities and improving our quality of life?
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Program Manager to oversee strategic planning and governmental affairs located in Cheyenne. As the Program Manager, you will report to the Deputy Director and be responsible for executive-level strategic planning, policy development and governmental affairs for the department.
The position will oversee the completion of special projects for the WYDOT executive team to support the department and the State of Wyomings transportation needs. In coordination with the executive team and public affairs, this position is responsible for implementing critical communication strategies and administering organizational change that affects major components of departmental operations.
Cheyenne is a steadily growing community along the Front Range but still true to the history of the Old West. The city offers nearby mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. Wyoming is one of only seven states with no state income tax.

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Business Management or a related field)
Experience:
3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business or a related field of study) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Policy and Planning Supervisor.
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
6-8 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business or a related field of study) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Policy and Planning Supervisor.
