PurposeParticipates in on-the-job training and performs basic repairs of agricultural and turf equipment under the direction of a Service Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.ResponsibilitiesPerforms basic service tasks as assignedDevelops skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of componentsParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeAssists senior technicians as neededMaintains the condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned dutiesMay perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection on new equipmentExperience, Education, Skills and KnowledgeGood knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipmentFundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the DealershipAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsGood skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredValid driver's license requiredFork lift license preferredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and remain in stationary positions for extended periods, frequently use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment, and perform repetitive motions. The position involves regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds, as well as bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in various positions, including overhead.
