Job Summary
The After School Counselor helps plan, organize, and lead programs and activities for youth ages 5–18. This role supports a safe, fun, and structured environment that encourages members’ social, emotional, and educational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading structured social and recreational programs.

• Organize assigned sports and recreation activities.

• Support Club sites in achieving program goals and objectives.

• Build positive relationships with staff, parents, and members.

• Enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and policies fairly.

• Track and monitor member participation in program areas.

• Assist with individual sports programs as needed.

• Provide instruction and actively engage with youth during activities.

• Encourage growth in members’ social, emotional, and educational development.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience

• Experience planning and running youth programs.

• Background in working directly with youth.

Skills

• Enjoys working with youth ages 5–18.

• Strong group management skills.

• Ability to engage and motivate young people.
