Aerostructures Quality Assurance Inspector – Incoming, In‑Process & Final

Help us safeguard flight‑critical components by ensuring every feature and document meets aerospace standards from dock to ship.

Role focus

  • Incoming acceptance: Inspect received material and paperwork to the inspection plan and customer criteria; confirm traceability and conformity.
  • Certification review: Evaluate supplier certs and test reports; coordinate with Customer Logistical Certification and Shipping Reviewers (CLCSRs) for final approval.
  • First piece validation: Perform first article/first piece checks to verify setup, tooling, and process capability before production moves forward.
  • In‑process control: Conduct line checks, catch trends early, and verify rework effectiveness.
  • Final release: Complete final inspections to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements; partner with Designated Quality Representatives (DQRs) for customer data and reviews.
  • Nonconformance management: Log defects in the QMS/ERP, support MRB and PQE investigations, and contribute to 8D corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Align with Certified Inspectors and communicate promptly with the Inspection Quality Manager, PQEs, and Operations.

What you bring

  • Background in manufacturing or aerospace inspection
  • Fluency in engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Skilled with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and reading CMM reports
  • Detail‑driven with strong documentation habits
  • Clear, concise communicator of quality issues
  • Preferred: AS9100 or ISO 9001 experience; aerospace manufacturing exposure
