    Aerospace Manufacturing Cell Operations Lead

    Location: Santa Clarita, CA

    Employment: Contract through December 2027

    Compensation: Competitive

    As your shift begins, you gather an experienced team on the production floor. Work orders are prioritized, safety moments are shared, and you set a clear plan for the night. Throughout the shift you rebalance labor across cells, remove roadblocks before they slow the line, and coach Team Leads so they can do their best work with confidence. Quality holds get resolved, SAP data stays current, and by the time you hand off, the next shift knows exactly what to do.

    RPS Recruitment is recruiting exclusively on behalf of a global aerospace manufacturer known for engineering innovation and operational excellence. From its Santa Clarita facility, the company produces highly engineered components for critical aerospace applications. This role offers genuine ownership of an off-shift production team and the autonomy to make real-time decisions that protect safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

    What you will lead

    • Run daily shift huddles and align the team to production priorities
    • Allocate labor across work centers and respond to in-shift challenges
    • Mentor and develop Team Leads through regular coaching and 1:1s
    • Track safety, quality, and throughput KPIs; remove barriers to flow
    • Execute clear, effective shift handovers to ensure continuity

    What you bring

    • 3–5+ years supervising in aerospace or defense manufacturing
    • Proven ability to independently lead production in a regulated environment
    • Working knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization
    • Experience with SAP or another ERP platform
    • Background in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, actuators, valves, or precision manufacturing

    This long-term contract runs through December 2027 and places you at the center of complex aerospace manufacturing. We will contact successful applicants within two business days.
