    Description

Lead the Night Shift Fabrication Operation

When the lights are bright and the plant is humming, you’re the one steering the work. As our Aerospace Fabrication Operations Lead, you’ll command the night shift on a high-precision floor that supplies mission‑critical aerospace and defense hardware. You’ll orchestrate people, processes, and production so every part meets spec and every hour moves us forward.

    A Night in This Role

You arrive early to walk the line, confirm materials are staged, fixtures are ready, and your crew’s assignments and standard times are crystal clear. Before the first part runs, you double‑check that the right manufacturing methods and work instructions are in place and that standard operating procedures and frozen processes will be followed without exception. As work progresses, you verify required characteristics are inspected and recorded per the Operator Characteristics Claim Sheet.

If something’s off, you don’t pass it along — you dig in. You partner with Quality and NDT, lead a focused root‑cause investigation, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. You keep non‑conformance risk and process variation out of the department by collaborating closely with Technical Services, Quality Assurance, and NDT.

You monitor production in real time, anticipate constraints, and resolve issues before they ripple across the floor. You participate in daily scheduling and coordination meetings, make smart overtime calls when demand spikes, and keep a continuous‑improvement lens on every motion, minute, and method.
