Our client, a Aerospace And Defense company, is looking for a Aeronautical Engineer for their Fort Worth, TX location.
Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will provide structural analysis support in Service Life Analysis related tasks for F-16 and F-22 aircraft.
Primary tasks will include performing Durability and Damage Tolerance analysis using fracture mechanics to support force management activities, field and depot needs, and ground testing.
In this role, apply your understanding of Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) analysis using fracture mechanics to support Material Review Board (MRB) activities for the F-16 Block 70 production line.
Fatigue/Durability and Damage Tolerance Analysis to support new product designs and production of metallic structures
Use of in-house crack growth analysis tools to perform required service life analysis to evaluate MRB dispositions
Support MRB activity for non-conforming parts and provide structural recommendations to substantiate dispositions
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in STEM
8+ years of experience in 1 or more of the following: fracture mechanics, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) and/ or fatigue
