University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Urology is seeking a full time Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to function as an advanced practice nurse and change agent incorporating the primary role of Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient care setting and the supporting roles of consultant, educator, researcher and administrator to support quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Education Required
Master's degree required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred. If Master's is in a related field, Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Completion of an approved adult Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Program required.
Experience Required
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with other health care team members.
Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice.
Certification Required
Current license to practice Nursing in the State of Iowa.
Current board certification in specialty area and licensure as an ARNP in the State of Iowa.
Desirable Qualifications
Previous patient care experience in urology.
Demonstrated experience providing overall medical care and medical management for patients in an outpatient care setting.
Knowledge of UI Health Care policies and procedures.
