Iliuliuk Family & Health Services (IFHS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide locum tenens coverage for the community of Unalaska/Port of Dutch Harbor and the Bering Sea fishing fleet. IFHS is an FQHC that also provides 24/7 urgent and emergent care, serving a remote island community with a wide range of medical needs.
This position requires an APP with a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a rural setting and confident managing patients of all ages with both primary and acute care needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary careand acute care to patients across the lifespan Deliver urgent and emergency careas part of a 24/7 on‑call rotation Work independently while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other providers Adapt to a rural, resource‑limitedhealthcare environment Support the medical needs of island residents and the commercial fishing fleet
Requirements
Current Alaska license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Current DEA license Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications Current ATLS certification Strong clinical judgment and comfort with autonomous practice
