Dr. Khan brings extensive expertise in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Practicing with Catholic Health in Patchogue, New York, this growing program offers APPs the opportunity to work across a dynamic mix of outpatient care and interventional cardiology. The practice manages a wide range of complex cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular disease, while also supporting advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement.

APP Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments in both outpatient and procedural settings
- Manage and follow patients with complex cardiac conditions, including heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmias
- Perform pre- and post-procedural evaluations for cardiac catheterizations and interventions
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms
- Collaborate closely with the physician and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Support care coordination, including referrals, follow-ups, and transitions of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
- Board certification as an NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA)
- Current DEA registration (or eligible)
- BLS and ACLS certification required - AHA only
- Prior cardiology experience preferred; interventional or acute care experience strongly desired
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
