Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our outpatient medical oncology team. This provider will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment, working collaboratively with oncologists and a multidisciplinary team to manage complex oncologic conditions across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and symptom evaluation

  • Develop, implement, and manage treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists

  • Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies

  • Manage treatment-related toxicities and oncologic emergencies in the outpatient setting

  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging

  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care

  • Coordinate care with nursing, pharmacy, social work, and other multidisciplinary team members

  • Participate in survivorship care planning and end-of-life discussions when appropriate

  • Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations

Position Qualification:

NP or PA

2 years experience preferred
