Position Overview
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy outpatient walk-in clinic in Rocky Mount, NC. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy a fast-paced environment, clinical autonomy, and treating a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and patient assessments.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
- Perform minor office procedures as appropriate.
- Accurately document patient encounters within the EMR system.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing.
- Prior urgent care, walk-in clinic, emergency medicine, family medicine, or primary care experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient setting.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
