This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively with EP cardiologists to deliver high-quality care to patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with a focus on continuity of care procedural support and patient education.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments physical exams and evaluations of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.Manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing EP studies ablations pacemaker and ICD implantations.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Provide patient education on device management medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.Monitor and interpret device data pacemakers ICDs loop recorders and assist in remote monitoring follow-up.Participate in inpatient rounding consults and discharge planning.Document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR accurately and timely.Assist with coordination of care across the Methodist Healthcare system and referring providers.QualificationsLicensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.National certification as an AGACNP or ACNPor PA-C.Minimum of 1-2 years of cardiology experience preferred EP experience highly desirable.BLS and ACLS certification required.Strong clinical judgment communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Schedule & CompensationFull-time schedule with rotating inpatientoutpatient coverage.Flexibility to assist with weekend daytime inpatient roundingRotation with weekday overnight phone triageCompetitive compensation package including base salary productivity incentives CME allowance and comprehensive benefits.About Methodist Heart and the Methodist Healthcare System25 operating suites and 811 bedsMethodist Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in South Texas performing cardiothoracic transplant & MCS.Methodist Heart Hospital consistently performs more open-heart surgeries than any other hospital in San Antonio making it the busiest program in the regionLargest Heart Transplant program in South Texas saving over 500 livesSouth Texas only comprehensive Aortic Aneurysm ProgramOver 2000 TAVR procedures performed 400 annuallyLung transplant program established in 2021Over 150 ECMOs annuallyOver 1600 open heart surgeries each yearPrograms include VATS minimally invasive thoracic surgery and lung nodule programOver 90 cardiology physicians in Methodist Physician Practices4 diagnostic cath labs3 electrophysiology labs5 dedicated cardiovascular operating suitesFive accredited chest pain centersTwo heart failure clinicsMethodist Healthcare System is the largest provider of health care in South and Central Texas with 28 facilities including nine acute care hospitals serving over 94000 inpatients and 500000 outpatients annuallySan Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States known for its vibrant culture rich history and welcoming community.
