LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Twin Rose is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. This position is for an APP to work primarily in the Columbia office in our grant funded STI clinic on Thursdays.
As part of a highly productive team, consisting of 10 Physicians and 7 APPs, delivery of comprehensive, quality care for patients of all ages is our specialty. We serve an economically, racially, and culturally diverse population with a greater than 50% Medicaid population. There is many opportunities for procedures, care of complex patients, and care of patients across the lifespan. The provider team emphasizes wellness and prevention, helps patients manage chronic conditions, provides timely care in the event of an illness or injury, and brings direct access to the most advanced treatment options. Furthermore, there is a real culture of learning and innovation in our practice. We meet weekly as 10 physicians and 7 APPs and do frequent care reviews, clinical topic presentations, EMR tips, and regularly develop new innovations for the delivery of excellent primary care to our patients.
Family Medicine Twin Rose has two offices that serve our patient population, but we share staff between the two offices and function as one practice. The Columbia office location was recently renovated and includes physical therapy, a full lab and imaging capability including plain films, CT, ultrasound, mammography, echocardiograms, and dexa scans. We do take additional pride in our treatment of addiction with 5 physicians and one PA that prescribe Suboxone, as well as manage Vivitrol, and administer Sublocade. We also work with our clinical pharmacist to treat Hepatitis C. The practice is supported by three office counselors, as well as a multidisciplinary team that includes a clinical pharmacist, a nurse, a social worker and two community health workers.
Hours:0.01 FTE, casual position working Thursdays in our STI Clinic 4:00pm – 8:00/8:30pm
