Advanced Practice provider (APP) (PA/NP) Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine - Open Rank - 39249
Faculty Description:
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a licensed Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) with a strong interest in pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine. The APP will work closely with our pediatric pulmonologists and sleep specialists to provide high-quality patient care, participate in educational activities, and contribute to the growth and development of our section.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients with respiratory and sleep disorders
Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement treatment plans
Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with pediatric pulmonologists and sleep specialists
Participate in educational activities, including teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows
Contribute to the growth and development of the section through research, quality improvement, and other initiatives
Requirements:
Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field
Current licensure as a PA in the state of Colorado
Current certification as a PA-C
Experience working in pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Strong clinical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a academic medical center
Experience with electronic medical records and other clinical software
Familiarity with pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine research and quality improvement initiatives
Certification in a pediatric subspecialty (e.g. NRP, PALS)
Experience with teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows
