Advanced Pharmacy Technician Advocate

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Facility: Providence Farmington Hills 

Department: Pharmacy Services 

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST | Full-time | No weekends or major Holiday's 

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment.
• Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented professional committed to delivering quality patient care and operational excellence.
• Proficient in computer applications, data entry, and electronic pharmacy systems, with the ability to accurately document and manage information.
• Flexible and adaptable to rotating between compounding and shipping/packing responsibilities based on business needs.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain productivity in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred
• Must possess all state and local qualifications

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Michigan required.
• PTCB certification required (must obtain within 90 days of hire if not currently certified).
• Minimum 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Retail pharmacy experience. 
• Specialty pharmacy experience highly-preferred.
