Job Summary and Qualifications As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.
Responsibilities include:
• Observing patients, documenting changes, and communicating them with the nursing team. • Helping patients with daily needs, such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely. • Providing advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry, monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds. • Assisting with supporting tasks, like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly. • Looking ahead to what patients might need, responding quickly, and helping ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate.
Qualifications To be eligible for this role, you will need:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification. • High School Graduate or GED.
