What you’ll tackle

  • Plan the sequence of machining and assembly operations from customer orders and technical data (drawings, specifications, purchase orders).
  • Develop shop routings, op sheets, tooling plans, and process docs that deliver quality and throughput.
  • Align processes with available equipment for efficient, effective manufacturing.
  • Specify, design, or procure special tooling/fixtures and equipment to meet cost and schedule targets.
  • Program CNC equipment to meet dimensional, finish, and timing requirements.
  • Serve on Corrective Action and MRB Boards, driving resolution and prevention.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining and tooling issues.
  • Create or revise manufacturing drawings using CAD methodologies.
  • Value‑engineer products and processes to reduce cost, lead time, and cycle time.
  • Adhere to company policies/procedures, as well as military and contractual requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Your toolkit

  • SolidWorks; Microsoft Suite
  • GD&T mastery
  • Working knowledge of MRP, kitting, batch sizing, configuration control, workflow routings

Experience that sets you up for success

  • BS in Engineering required; equivalent experience considered
  • 7+ years in manufacturing preferred

Hands‑on proficiencies

  • GD&T; CNC tooling; troubleshooting
  • CNC programming; CAD; CAD/CAM
  • G‑Code; M‑Code
  • CNC setup & changeover
  • Precision measurement & hand metrology
  • Production run setups

Machines and software you’ll encounter

  • CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC): Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, DMG Mori Seiki
  • CNC Lathe (2–4 axis): Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, DMG Mori Seiki
  • CAM: Mastercam, Mazatrol
  • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC): Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Mazak, Haas, DMG Mori Seiki
