HistoSonics is a commercial-stage medtech company advancing the Edison System, a novel non-invasive sonic beam therapy based on histotripsy. Since receiving FDA De Novo grant for the non-invasive destruction of liver tumors in 2023, the company has progressed beyond initial market entry into commercial expansion, reimbursement momentum, and ongoing clinical and pipeline development. Position Summary (Why this role matters):
This role is responsible for developing and optimizing transducers, their internal parts, and production procedures for manufacturing. They will play an active role in converting laboratory prototypes into cost-effective, scalable and marketable products. This will include involvement with mechanical and electrical design, fabrication, electrical soldering, in-process testing and final testing (development and execution), and troubleshooting of the ultrasound transducer and transducer subcomponents. The key responsibilities of the associate engineer range from fabrication and research support and feasibility analysis to the hand off to commercialization Development and Advanced Manufacturing teams while closely adhering to HistoSonics' quality system and design controls.
