Located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, we are currently in search of a skilled technician with a sharp acumen in plastic injection molding maintenance. This role involves working alongside our engineering and maintenance teams to refine and innovate manufacturing solutions. Mastery in diagnosing and repairing machinery, robots, and equipment is expected. You will:

  • Oversee maintenance of plant equipment, premises, and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose issues by observing mechanical operations.
  • Dismantle and restore function to defective parts.
  • Fine-tune mechanisms and control apparatus.
  • Apply robotic programming knowledge to perform necessary adjustments.
  • Cooperate with Process Technicians to troubleshoot press and robot issues.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and log activities meticulously.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks and record updates diligently.
  • Adhere to OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
  • Conduct hydraulic, HVAC, conveyor, and pneumatic circuit repairs.
  • Expertly troubleshoot and reconfigure electrical systems.
  • Design and fabricate poke-yoke and alarm systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in machinery and automated systems.
  • Navigate PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting and minor program revisions.
  • Address and mediate maintenance challenges effectively.
  • Support the launch of new products innovatively.

Qualifications

We value a strong educational background and hands-on experience, including:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional degrees are favorable.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in injection molding troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with robotics and programmable controls, including program modification skills.
  • Industrial electrical expertise, with a focus on plant machinery.
  • Experience across electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings.
  • EOAT design and valve gate installation capabilities.
  • Commitment to technological proficiency through continuous learning.
  • Exceptional communication prowess.

  • Operate independently and adaptively with minimal guidance.
  • Manage physical demands including lifting, bending, and maneuvering in various positions.
  • Maintain stationary and mobile activities as the job requires.
