Position Details: The Advanced Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for entering all Holter Monitor and/or Cardiac Event Monitor studies in cardiac software, ensuring compliance for joint commission, in addition to all responsibilities for the CV Tech. This role will act as lead when leader is not available and be responsible for the day to day operation of the department.

Oversee QA measurements Precepting new hires, students, and current co-workers as needed Cardiac software superuser Performs EKGs Places Holters and event monitors Maintains proper logs and documentation of all tracings received. Consistently communicates monitor results with ordering physicians and corresponding physicians. Assists with scheduling patients appropriately in the scheduling system. Assists physicians and staff with patient flow, obtaining dictation, chart preparation, etc., in order to ensure proper patient care. Stock Supplies / Check Supply Expirations Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. EKG and EEG experience.

Preferred Experience: One Year of Experience or previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program. Preferred Certifications: CCT or CRAT through CCI or CET through American Allied Health. Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred.

Physical Requirements: • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 185 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who wanted to help the poor women and children of Dublin. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill her dreams.
