Job Description:

Advanced Cost Analyst

Location: Dahlgren, Virginia (On-site)

Employment Type: Permanent

Role Overview

We are seeking an Advanced Cost Analyst to support Department of Defense (DoD) business operations for complex weapon systems. This is a high-visibility role with direct customer interaction, focused on providing advanced cost analysis and statistical modeling for critical programs. The position involves working alongside engineers and EVM analysts with significant opportunities for knowledge transfer and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), lifecycle cost estimates, affordability analyses, and cost risk models.
  • Apply advanced estimating methodologies including parametric estimating, Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), learning curves, Monte Carlo simulations, regression analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Create and build tools using the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) suite.
  • Manage and execute large-scale reporting, handling data sets exceeding 1,000 lines.
  • Support acquisition strategy panels, budget submissions, and congressionally required reports.
  • Maintain government cost databases and contribute to policy process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 7 years of cost estimating experience, specifically with a background in DoD program cost analysis.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in cost estimating and statistical modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) suite, including building custom tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated compensation for this position is between $130,000 and $170,000 annually. This organization offers a comprehensive benefits package.
