Program Overview

River Edge is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Mental Health Clinician with a masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field. Based at our Adult Outpatient Center, this role involves conducting behavioral health assessments for adults with mental health, substance use, developmental, or co-occurring disorders. Ideal candidates are passionate professionals looking to grow within a mission-driven, nationally recognized organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential behavioral health assessments and develop solution-focused treatment plans in collaboration with clients. • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborative documentation. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records, including treatment plans, case notes, and discharge summaries. • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training. • Ensure compliance with all agencies, state, and regulatory policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Licensed in either:

  • LAPC (Licensed Adult Primary Care)
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
  • LAMFT (Licensed Adult Mental Health Therapist)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • or license-eligible

Recent graduates with a masters degree in a behavioral health field are encouraged to apply if license is eligible.

Masters degree in social service field:

  • Social Work
  • Sociology
  • Psychology
  • Human Services
  • or related field

At least one year of post-masters experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment is preferred.
