Required To Apply:

*NY RN License

*Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty or equivalent field and five years of satisfactory nursing experience, of which three years shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity; or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and six years of satisfactory nursing experience, four years of which shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity.

Duties:

  • Assists in developing and implementing the mission, vision, values, philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and standards for Nursing Service.
  • Oversee nursing operations in the absence of the DON and D-DON, ensuring continuity of care and management.
  • Directly responsible for the supervision, leadership, and evaluation of the nursing team (including Head Nurses/Charge Nurses, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs), and for coordinating the completion of employee performance evaluations according to established criteria.
  • Participates in planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services, taking appropriate corrective actions, and communicating relevant information and problems to the Deputy/Associate Director of Nursing.
  • Conducts regular meetings with Head Nurses/Charge Nurses and clinical staff, performs unit rounds, manages unit dashboards, observes staff performance according to established criteria, evaluates nursing care practices and procedures, and takes appropriate corrective actions.
